bsg technologies has developed a method of retrieving sonic information from audio signals that provides a realistic and complete rendering of the original acoustic event. qøl™ is NOT a processor; it does not synthesize a signal or alter the natural sensory information in any way. Instead of “adding” a host of processing techniques intended to create “effects,” bsg has found a way to extract information already present in recordings, but otherwise hidden in conventional reproduction.

Barry Stephen Goldfarb, our Co-Founder and Inventor, has been granted (on his own or with others) more than 50 patents. He is an accomplished musician and plays more than 20 instruments. He has taught audio engineering and acoustics at the university level. His latest, patent pending invention in the field of audio, our company’s first technology, is the “new signal for the 21st Century,” a signal completion stage that brings audio much closer to the way sound is heard in nature. We call it “qøl™.”
Larry Alan Kay is Co-Founder and CEO/Manager of our company. Mr. Kay is a long-time, dedicated audiophile and former Publisher, Co-Founder and contributor of Fi: The Magazine of Music and Sound. He is also a long-time member of the Board of Directors and Audit and Finance Committee of DineEquity, Inc., which owns and operates the Applebee’s and IHOP (International House of Pancakes) restaurant chains. Mr. Kay also sits on the Boards of two private companies and a non-profit cultural organization. Formerly, he was (non-executive) Chairman of the Board of DineEquity, as well as its predecessor, IHOP Corp.
Their experienced team members include audio, electrical and mechanical engineers, a highly regarded scientist and academician, and a sales group with over 75 years of experience in related fields.
