"Represented a step towards the experience of live music" - Robert Harley, The Absolute Sound
qØl™ - New sonic extraction technology from bsg technologies provides a fundamental leap towards musical realism!
"The single best description of qol is that is caused the sound to "open up" both spatially and in timbre and represented a step towards the experience of live music rather than just a lateral (if appealling) change in the signal. Turning off qol collapsed the sound toward the center, tended to make the soundstage congealed and homenized by comparison, and make timbres somewhat hooded and veiled...Every time I sit down to enjoy music now, I'm listening with qol"
- Robert Harley, The Absolute Sound, February, 2012
"Switching the device into the signal path rendered a significant increase in clarity, resolution, transparence and soundstaging."
- Robert Harley, The Absolute Sound, March, 2010, read the review
"What the qøl does is very difficult to give up once you’ve heard it. I’ve never heard anything that does what the qøl Signal Completion Stage does at any price... Bring it on! qøl processing is so good that it deserves to be in everyone’s system.
- Doug Blackburn, soundstagenetwork.com
"We are generally dubious of any kind of tweak and almost never carry/sell any but we've been positively delighted at the amazing impact the qØl™ has on any system we've tried it on. It substantially enhances the musical presentation, especially on digital recordings, opening up and creating much more spacious, three dimensional, holographic images. The effect isn't subtle!
- Jay, Audio Revelation
qøl™ - “The DNA of Sound,” dramatically improving the sensory experience of sound whenever electronics are used.
The bsg technologies qøl™ Signal Completion Stage is a new technology and an entirely new category of component. It is an addition to existing systems, not a replacement of any equipment. Built to the highest standards of audiophiles and music lovers, with features that make it versatile and compatible with all components, cables and systems.
A huge step toward realism, naturalism and enjoyment, thier patent-pending qøl™ technology is the most significant advance in audio in decades. For the first time, fundamental elements of sound, previously hidden and buried in all audio signals, can now be retrieved and reproduced.
bsg technologies has developed a method of retrieving sonic information from audio signals that provides a realistic and complete rendering of the original acoustic event. qøl™ is NOT a processor; it does not synthesize a signal or alter the natural sensory information in any way. Instead of “adding” a host of processing techniques intended to create “effects,” bsg has found a way to extract information already present in recordings, but otherwise hidden in conventional reproduction.
Thier technology enables COMPLETE capture, transmission, and reproduction of such information, including elements that, until now, have remained hidden and buried in electronics, and unavailable to the listener. The result is an audio experience with fullness and richness beyond comparison and one which carries essentially all the dynamic, tonal, and spatial content of a real sonic event.
Who is bsg technologies?
A company committed to the development of new technologies that will dramatically improve the sensory experience of sound whenever electronics are used. They believe our revolutionary advances will dramatically enrich communications, entertainment, education, medicine and science. They will make them available by licensing them to manufacturers of a wide variety of products. They are also developing other technologies that will improve experiences of sight and other senses.
The bsgt team – creative, experienced, passionate professionals.
Barry Stephen Goldfarb, our Co-Founder and Inventor, has been granted (on his own or with others) more than 50 patents. He is an accomplished musician and plays more than 20 instruments. He has taught audio engineering and acoustics at the university level. His latest, patent pending invention in the field of audio, our company’s first technology, is the “new signal for the 21st Century,” a signal completion stage that brings audio much closer to the way sound is heard in nature. We call it “qøl™.”
